Gamma question?

Not sure where to post this so I'll start here. I am running quick gamma on my system. I get my image all set up my end, curves good, levels good, contrast and brightness good then I post my image and it gets washed out a fair amount. I then set it up dark on my end, re-post and then it looks better here. Is there something I'm doing wrong that you can think of?

Is 'quick gamma' a monitor calibration program?

What color space are you using? It sounds like maybe you are working in one space and then posting in another. I'm not sure if you can post images in different color spaces...or if it's only sRGB.

Do you have photoshop CS or CS2? There should be a 'save for the web' feature that lets you preview the image as it would appear in IE.

I agree that it sounds like a color space issue.
