I like the idea, but I think this needs some exposure correction in post. Generally the problem we see with monochrome conversions is excessive mid-tones and too little contrast. In this case, there are virtually no mid-tones and excessive contrast.

Yes, not enough bee really in the first shot. Perhaps it's a better example this time round.

Thanks, I appreciate the guidance. Maybe this is a little more balanced on exposure? I'm not sure about the space top left, though. Any thoughts would be welcomed.
