Alright, I'll be spending about 15 days in the UK. London for sure the rest is up in the air but probably a mix of smaller towns and one or two bigger cities. I plan on shooting large RAW files and some HD Video (more than you'd think). Here's what I'm bringing:

50mm f1.4 (kinda not sure about bringing this one)

UV filters
77mm Polarizing filter (fits both zooms)
cleaning stuff
Crumpler 7 Million Dollar home side bag for all gear

Things left at home:
40D body
Tripod
Sinking barge (photoback pack)
Laptop

What am I forgetting? Thoughts on ditching the 50mm?

Any advice on places to visit in the UK?

If you have a 110V AC charger you're likely to fry it when you plug it in over there. You might want to get an adapter or another one for their power supply.

Give London a missed it is a dump, there are much nicer places to visit, only good thing about London is the photogalleries

Hi ...was there last summer...it rained all of the the time...took my 5D mark II...was a little heavy...only took one lens 2-105L and a Metz 58i flash. Make sure you get a power converter and a waterpoof bag. On my trip this year I am taking a lighter but incredible camera...the Canon T2i and still fussing about which lens to take.
