generic lenses

i am a yound spots photographer (amerture) and i shoot a lot of climbing wich is dark and hase bad lighting i got to shoot wiht a pro (tim kemple) i used his big 2.8 and his 1.4 that helped so much
i want a big zoom (70-200is) unfornetly i am very oor and the nikon 2.8 cost $15000 sigma makes one for makes $700 any sugestions
is the sigma good lense

Sigma does make a nice 70-200 F2.8 and it's probably less expensive than a similar Nikon or Canon lens.

Lenses for shooting sports, especially in poor lighting...can get very expensive because they have to be long and fast.

I don't know much about Nikon (I'm a Canon guy) but Canon has a 70-200 F4....which is smaller and cheaper than the F2.8. Of course, if you need that extra speed...you have to shell out the big bucks.
