Getting into Portraits, CnC Welcome

I just got an old 24-35mm fd L. I got it for landscapes for when I go out with my 400mm. I've had about a year and a half with my t1i. Any CnC is welcome.

hmmm maybe you should have included more of her head in the frame (perhaps landscape would have worked for this) , and lighting on her face could have been better.

I think its a little under exposed and I agree with more head in the frame. Since she's looking to the left you could probably do the shot landscape with her position 2/3 to the right and leave some negative space to the left where shes looking. Also the crooked horizon doesn't add anything to this shot for me so If you could shoot it again I would frame it up straight or use the horizon line to draw your eye into the shot. I like her expression though and the shallow depth of field. Hope I'm not too harsh, I would expect honest feedback for my stuff and in the end there just opinions not fact

Thank you both for the feedback. We were both actually sitting on a hill when I took this. I guess the question is, would it have better to have a straight model or a straight horizon? I agree with both of you that I should have taken one landscape.

Also, I like honest feedback.
