Getting more into black and white

[Atari1977]

I've been doing photography for a while but recently I decided on getting into black and white film photography, so in preparation I've been trying the same thing with my Pentax K-7. Just wanted some general feedback.

Looks like you've got the hang of it. Tone, form, texture.. that's what black and white is all about

I really like 1 and 3.

2 gives me a bit of confusion. I am not sure if you were trying to capture interest with the stone wall or the shadow of the lamp. I would have played with the shot and the crop to try to punctuate one or the other.
