Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I've noticed recently that I'm sort of stuck in my one style that I prefer to shoot (high contrast, deep blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp focus). Does anyone else ever find themselves stuck with one particular style? What are things you did to change it up? I'm thinking about doing an all-B&W set or experimenting more with softfocus and not letting myself adjust vibrance in post. I'd love to hear how everyone keeps it fresh!

Most top photographers have their own style and thats why they get hired

My clients leave w/ homework where they have to show me 5-10 pictures that they'd like to be replicated at their shoot (wedding, engagement, bday party, etc). This also pushes my brain waves to get out of routine, adjust and modify a different approach. Last two weddings I've done were COMPLETELY different styles.

I know this, but I also feel that it's important to do new things and remain creative.

I can't give a commercial perspective as others have because I shoot solely for myself, but I have had this happen at times. There are two approaches and I can't say which would be best in your circumstances: (1) keep at it if it's working for you and you will naturally evolve into something else or several different things over time, or (2) force yourself to go out and shoot a subject or in a style completely foreign to you, just to shake yourself up and try something different. I typically do something closer to (1), but I know it is different for others.

If it bothers you then stop editing them that way. simple as that. But if you like the way you shoot then whats the problem?

Idea is to set yourself apart from the rest. If what you are doing is working for you stick with it. Nothing wrong with expanding out and offering more.
