At first I wasn't sure to post this shot, but when I looked at it again I thought why not it has something and it's almost Halloween.
Strange though I got tons of likes and positive comment on Face book for this one...

Very atmospheric scene and location. I'm finding it easy to imagine picking out some narrower views with a longer lens. The three groups of trees, on the right-hand side, in the distance. Catch my eye. Do you have some longer lenses or zoom capabilities? I would try square or 5:4 crops of those from a high-res image. Or maybe also try a panoramic format utilizing the central area of the shot, across the whole frame. I find the V-shape formed by the foreground trees a bit distracting but including less of that in a panoramic may work well (some of the cloud along the top area could be omitted) . Nice imagery!

cheers,

Oh yes! I am not sure about the reds in it, personally, but the image is very eerie and haunting. Exactly what I'd expect to see in Ireland. You could look at it for a mighty long time and to see a lot of things in it!

In fact there is a spot in the center that is very hauntingly looking like a skull.

Natural and spooky. Beautiful.
It looks like something or someone is coming out from that photo!

Thanks for the comments and I will take it all in for the next shoot, used is/was a Canon 100-400 mm zoomed in all the way and cropped it. I was planning a pano shot but the weather was dreadful and didn’t want to risk any water damage on my camera or lenses, so ended up with this hand shot from within my Land Rover window opened just enough to get the lens hood out.
