I love #1 very much. The colour is absolutely brilliant. #2 I thought I will not like but you have captured it well and sharp. #1 is still a favourite if looks is a consideration.

Thanks, Izzie. It's hard to compare a brightly-colored bird like a Goldfinch to a stealthy bird like a Green Heron as far as looks are concerned. The Green Heron's appearance allows them to blend in with the background, and truthfully if they stand still (which they frequently do) they are difficult to notice.
