Hoping to get some thoughts on this shot I took during a recent round at the Sedona Golf Resort. We were behind some of the slowest players in the world which gave me the opportunity to snap a few shots along the way.

I've been experimenting with the HDR thing but not sure I'm getting it right. Any feedback is appreciated.

That picture is great. The color of everything is awesome. Makes me want to start golfing.

Great composition and sharp. Horizon may be a bit tilted to the left though.

Thanks man. Was wondering if the color was too much or not. If you find yourself in my area and want to start, I work at a golf course =)

I thought it was too but when I adjusted it, the flag was then tilted and the golfer with the red shirt looked like he was going to fall over.

The sandstone strata are tilted, which is not uncommon where there is uplift. Doesn't necessarily mean the horizon is off, though. I like the color, the pastels and the 1950s illustration look.

And the grass is really well done, without any of the neon green stuff you see in so many HDRs.

This is a pretty good HDR. HDR is like makeup - you want it to highlight beauty without it being terribly obvious. This comes pretty close, though just *slightly* a bit much. What i mean is, its obvious something was done - its not totally natural, ya know? But I like it.

Give that man a beer!

Sedona is a gorgeous area, and that comes pretty close to what it looks like. Perhaps just slightly oversaturated but not much. I think you did pretty well.

Its very hard to take a bad picture in Sedona :) I was just there a few weeks back. Nice shot. I would maybe lower the blue saturation just a bit in the background mountains.

HDR is not like makeup. A boob job would probably be a better analogy. :) HDR's true purpose is to expand dynamic range that your camera is not capable of capturing in one exposure. So in other words, you aren't happy with what god has given you in your equipment, so you get a little technical help expanding things........see, just like a boob job.
