Very nice pictures there, Wirral. The first one's the best, though, showing the most interesting form and amount of sky. Try to incorporate that into your other photos.

Thanks! I am still very much in the learning stages. Today was really about getting to know about my camera !!! Hopefully as the weeks go by i will be able to do some nice photo's !!!

Looks like there is a class on sailing going on.
The first is best. I can only agree.
Wonderful weather... and I must say: I also like the second very much, with the very smooth beach in the background. The only distracting element is the person pushing a pram (?) on the far left. Something as simple as a crop could fix this.

cool shots, and good series.. Try the photo software that came with your camera, Nikon Picture Project.. you can straighten the horizon, mess with composition using the cool cropping software., and enhance the contrast.. It's a great program to start with.., make sure you do the upgrade!
