Can anyone recommend a high quality video camera to film in 2160P50 which has a really good lens with extremely good sharpness?

G'day Eustace

As (little as) I understand it, 2160p is so close to the recognised video-4K mode, that I suspect that most cameras offering 4K video would do what you're after

I use Panasonic cameras, both FZ-300 & FZ-2500 and each is well setup for 4K operations
Hope this helps
Phil

Thanks for replies. The reason I ask is I own Canon XF405 which has a zoom lens and the definition appears to be far worse than it should be. It looks more like 1920x1080 sharpness.

Are you insisting that the camera have a non-replaceable lens? If you will accept an interchangeable lens body, most of the used bodies for the last, maybe 3 years would do. Add a small used zoom and it would be doing well. A new "fixed lens" compact camera would likely be Sony, Panasonic, Canon or Ricoh and zoom lenses are not very versatile. I don't even know if "Bridge" cameras are still around.

No, I would love to have replaceable lenses if they have very good definition, which it appears zoom lenses do not unless they are very expensive.
