Got a new camera for xmas and need help

Hello,

I got a canon s2 IS for christmas and i have no idea how to use it :lol:

I know its not good to use the auto setting. Im not sure where to start there are so many settings, can someone point me in the right direction? All that i have used in the past were cheap point and shoots and i want to get into real photography mostly landscapes and car photoshoots.

Read the manual, and go to your local library and get a book on photography. If you want to use a mode other than auto, you'll need to understand exposure.

Great camera.... its a step above the cheap point and shoots you used in the past. As said... read the manual. For now, you can set it to full auto and use it just like your previous P&S.
