The cat does not look sharp to me. You want the eyes to be sharp and they are not.

It's sharp enough though. Cats LOVE fancy tissue paper!!! The depth of field is very shallow...I think the paper might be a little bit sharper than the cat's face and ears, but the OVERALL look is sharp-ish. Good job with the formal balance on the background pillow or cushion and whatever that white object is...this shot has a very formal, almost "posed" look to it, due to the careful composition and framing.

I certainly agree! This photo is faaar from being a "blooper", and it is not too soft, either, I think. Other than the cat --- they are meant to be soft! *awww* :lovey:
