Got dark on me! Creative help with this photo please!

I was shooting a couple and it started to get really dark on the last few shots. They wanted some of them in their cameo, so thats how we finished out the shoot. Take a look at the pic and let me know if you have any suggestions to what I could do to make it a nicer photo. Touch it up also if you would like, but be sure to tell me the steps you took.

You could make the flash half the power and double your ISO. That way your subject will have the same brightness but your background will be a stop brighter.

Just too give you an idea (didnt have much time to edit, the text is there to hide some bad editting

To make it better fix the composition, the white balance, and the exposure.

Then fix the global contrast, and hot spots on their faces, which is pretty much what Raincheck did in a quick and dirty fashion.

Do you photograph people for pay?

I think if you can reprocess the raw you can do something. This is what I did using adjustment layers and masks
