Got my new lens today. Sigma 20mm f1.8

The first one in the post above looks neat! I'm guessing a candy bowl? f-1.8 gives a pretty shallow DOF, but that seems really shallow!

Maybe they will come out with a 10-22 f2.8!! That would be a great lense to have, if you could afford it!

the first one is actually a drinking glass, its about 6-8 inches tall and the top is about the same size as the lens thread

Really wide, slower. But that's just me.

I am in the same boat with ya!!
I have fast now I need WIDE!!I just cant decide on fisheye or super wide.I dunno been reading the reviews again.:er:

It depends, for what I would be using it for, a really wide (fish most likely) slow lens would work better, simply because a tripod can take care of the speed problem, but there isn't much you can do about a lens that isn't wide enough.

Of course just last sunday my church was all done up for Easter, and I was thinking to myself "I really wish I had a fast wide angle to take some pictures of the stage and the band" in which your 20 1.8 would have been perfect.

Really depends what you are using it for.
