I was lucky enough to get one of my photos exhibited in one of India's most renowned art museum last month in the Nature segment :cheer:.
Sharing the pic with you guys.. This was taken from Gangtok, Sikkim; one of the cleanest cities in India. C&C Welcome..

Congratulations! :D

Kudos!
I pays to be in the right place at the right time, and have a camera with you.

For those not familiar with mountains - Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest mountain at 28,169 ft above sea level.

Beautiful photo and hearty congratulations, RaJ! Lee

It sure does.. :) BTW it is also one of the most vertical mountain peaks in the world and has claimed a lot of lives. Despite being so famous, it is one of the least trekked mountain peaks in the world.

Yeeeehaaa, well done Raj. Amazing pano with a great play on darks and lights. Brilliant lighting and that long cloud adds so much to it. Wonderful view at the larger size and yep, that's steep all right. Pat yourself on the back, I can't reach ;) :)

So how far away is it from where you live Raj ??

All the best Raj and top image that one.

Danny.

 Thanks Danny.. Gangtok is pretty far away about 450 miles from the city (kolkata), Kanchenjunga even more so.

This was one of those rare occasions I was glad I didn't get a DSLR. Believe it or not this shot was taken at 1200mm hand held with IS. I did hold my breath and used a custom timer before taking the shot, but still the IS surprised me on this occasion. I plan to go for a trekking experience near that place some time, maybe I'll get an even better shot next time :)
