I hope your front porch is reasonably close to that pile of wood.;)

That will keep you busy for a bit. Hope you got a better deal because they just dumped it instead of stacked delivery.

Nothing like getting it done early.

ronlane; Ron Evers will stack it better.

No deals around here, all wood has to come from afar. You are looking @ $1,125. Still much less than the equivalent heat from oil.

Wow @Ron Evers, I remember back in the day delivering with my Uncle and we had to stack it for them (at WAY less than that.).

Ouch! Seasoned, split & stacked fir is running <$200/cord here.

No one peddles softwood around here. This load is predominately Maple & Beech with some White ash.

White ash? Get the lathe out and lets make some baseball bats. lol

I say start the bonfire right there! I'll bring a years supply of marshmallows and please direct me to the cilantro.

Makes me glad I live in Florida......no firewood needed.....but, as a woodworker, I hate to see Maple and White Ash go up in smoke.....congrats on getting it done early.....

I am also a woodworker & have made most of the furniture in our house. I also cringe @ good timber being converted to firewood. I have used Ash & Oak for some projects but prefer to build with Walnut or Cherry. Last year, for the first time since 2009 I revisited my woodworking & made a Cherry table.

This is what it was for - Printer supplies in the drawer.

You can get alder for ~$125, but fir burns much better.

I hate stacking wood but not as much as splitting it. Fortunately we dont have to build many fire in south ga unless its a bon fire with cold beer..

Nice furniture also..
