A short break in the weather finally allowed for the first ballgames of the season to be played. It stayed dry enough through the day for the fields to firm up a bit, but by the end of the games it was sprinkling again. Today everything is cancelled.... it's snowing out. Grrrr.


1. Dusting off the Glove... does this count as dust on my sensor?

Picture # 1 is a just a great sports shot. Great facial expression coupled with a strong composition, especially with the flying dirt. Just simply outstanding.

Thanks everyone, now if it would just stop snowing so I can get more games in.

The settings for the shot of the catcher were...Canon 1DMKIII, 400mm 2.8 IS , ISO 800 with a manual exposure of f3.5 @ 1/2000 , single shot mode I have a great out of bounds spot right between the end of the dugout and first base where I am for shots from the right side of the field.

There was no dust on the softball field...
