ok.......color me ignorant...

i am average intelligence... but i still question the 30 divided by 1/2...why am i still getting 15 and add 10.....if i had 30 apples and gave half away it would be 15...

( i hate being old.... where is my hexing stick???? )

15 is the answer if you divide 30 by 2

My first thoughts were 15 also lol..

I had to stop myself from going for the answer I would've normally gone for straight away, my brain went automatically for one thing where I needed to stop and reread the question and what it was really asking. I found it interesting how my brain is conditioned in the way it is, this test gave me bit of insight to that regard.

thanks luminosity......now i get it.. i was doing two..not a half...

the others didnt really get me except for one or two...
the moses answer is an old trick... and the stamps one was kinda funny...

Another one that is fun to ask people (it has to be verbally said, because written it is too obvious)

You are driving a bus and you stop at the first stop and pick up 30 people. You drive 10 min, turn left, get in the right hand lane and make the second stop to pick up 9 people, but 3 get off. You then proceed to turn right and make the third stop. 4 people get off this time and 1 person gets on (proceed with this for a very long time, watching them calculate the numbers in their head)...
