Well got my $500 renewed D7500, and $130 18-140 DX up and running. Figured out why the lens was rejected, but not the camera yet. The lens has bad lithoprinting on the label where the very bottom of the 3.5-5.6 markings are. So I am sure it didn't pass final inspection over that. Everything works as it should so far. Added rear and top screen protectors, and an eyecup for the viewfinder.
