yep, fixing up a really underexposed photo sure can bring out some unwanted noise.

Are you the person who also has a current post about a 60D that is exposing oddly when in Live View mode? I saw a post yesterday about a 60D owner having a wide difference in exposure between through the viewfinder images and those made in LV mode.

I did found an interesting link, yeah live view can cause noise after a long period (heating up the sensor) It wasn't your case.
Is it true that shooting in live view mode adds noise to the picture?
