Weird...I guess, but I do everything I can to avoid them...I even have extra loong hood extensionns I made when shooting toward the sunny side of life.

I really like the first photo. It makes me feel like it's mid-summer, which is nice with all the sleet outside my window at the moment. I'm not usually a fan of flares, but I think it works with this shot.

There's really no subject in these, so there's really nothing of any interest.

I like the second photo of the grasses, and the tree line. I'm not super-fond of the dark areas in the sky on the upper left and right, but the shot has some potential. It has a sort of rustic, romanticized "summer day" kind of feel to it. It's not a great shot, but it has its merit as a sort of "filler" shot that would go well in a photo story about say, a farm, or a day spent afield. It's not a stand-alone, A+ kind of photo, but then again, very few images really are.

Cheers guys , yes the summer romantic feel is what i was chasing , i can see the point of no central subject as such to draw the eye , but was more relying on the grasses overall to be the subject in No 2 and the flare in No 1 to be the subject that draws the eye . Can light itself be a subject ?, not sure , Cheers guys thanks for the comments

The lack of a strong subject in #1 doesn't really bug me. I guess I took it as just a nice, dreamy summer day. I liked it!

Thanks Lassa8 , yes thats how i looked at it as well

i really love lens flare... i think it's beautiful and emotive. i like the first image very much. do you have any more of the image frame? it seems like a squatty crop.

Thanks Salalone , i have a habit of going tight on crops for some reason , attached is the original ...cheers
