D70, Cracked top LCD and every so often would give me a minor card read issue (i figured worn pins) with 13,000 clicks.... 80 Bucks. Later sold with an 18-55 EDII lens for 325 dollars to fund D200 purchase.

D200, Has yet to arrive, but MINT, with the battery grip, for only 360 dollars, Shipped... cant wait for it to arrive!

I've come across many good deals on craigslist, but haven't been able to purchase because of lack of funding at the time (though quick flips = positive money!).

I'm on the lookout for a D70s In good condition as my next purchase... right after I get some good strobes. The D70s will be my outdoor flash body/ backup... you guys know why

Flash sync to maximum 1/8000 shutter speed. Faster than the duration of a full power burst from some flashes.

also right KmH! Being a teenage photographer people always give me looks when I bust out my nice equipment, wondering what kind of spoiled teen I am... truth is, anything can be had with a lot of time and a little work. and moreover; no one can tell the difference between something "new" and "used" unless if you tell them so.

used is kind of a relative term- used by who. technically as soon as you take a picture, even a new item becomes used. You can't really have "new" equipment very long.

Nikon d300 + 18-200 VR... get this... 1,000 dollars. thats about 300 dollars cheaper then the cheapest ive seen either one go for individually. d300 alone around here (nyc) often sells for about 800-850 used. 18-200 youll be lucky if you grab one for 500 or less.

although I rarely use it, picked up a 70-210af f4 in perfect condition (minus a squeaky focus) for 60 bucks on craigslist.

Best deal? Meet a girl who just broke up. Get with girl. Convince girl to help convince her ex to liquidate his photo business. Buy 1 month old Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8 of girlfriend for $1000AU (RRP 2900) as she is trying to spite her ex by getting him crap deals.

Best deal I have by far ever come by. A 50mm af 1.8f Minolta maximum lens, in box, manual mint. $2, search on eBay and they easily go for around $80. Found on the top shelf at a thrift store. =P

Ebay is great like that. My girlfriend bought a 50mm 1.8 OM mount for $1 on ebay and $3 postage

The only problem was she needed an adapter to use a lens that old and that went for $10

found two vivitar 285HV's for 40 bucks, then found another guy selling three within a package deal with some other camera equip... I offered him 50 bucks including shipping, fingers crossed i get lucky.


now what to do with 5 flashes?
