The owl is great but the snow isn't white, was this intentional?

Snow is not always white. Sometimes it can be gray,red,blue or many other colors. It really depends on lighting condition and environment.

Thats the colour the snow came out, must be the fact the sun had not quite come up? WB was set to auto, my bad

Fantastic shot. The little tuft of disturbed snow, @ 6 o'clock, right at the base of the owl and the disturbed snow just behind and to the right of him is quite white. This convinces me the settled snow may be tinted, probably by settled dirt. I wonder if he has a mouse under all those feathers. Something made him sit there. I like it very much, he has that "who are you" and why are you here look on his face.

Great shot. Blue sky is reflecting in the snow. Adjust it to white in PP if you want it white, no one will care.
