Great Great Niece, first child photography

I got my d3100 back in Nov. am learning as I go... I had my Great Great Niece at the house the other day and offered to do some photos. I know I have a long ways to go, but I think for me they turned out good. But if anyone wants to to tell me a way to make them better, I have Photoshop elements 7, ViewNX2, corel painter 12.

Very nice shots ....don't like the grunge or antique images ...better as straight B&W .... I like #1 and she loves her dolly but the grunge is distracting ...nice B&W though #2 is real cute as well and I like the lighting

I like the last ungrunged one. Is there a history behind the doll?

I found the doll at a yard sell, wet and thrown back in a box after a rain. I just had to have her, no tags.

I like the doll! I really wanted to see the its face in the picture, but then I was afraid it might have one of those creepy eye doll faces. Finally I decided it was better tension not knowing. :mrgreen:

I really like the one hugging the doll close in black and white, without the grunge.

not a fan of the grunge look, so i wont comment much there.
the others have a lot of shadows, especially on the face. they could benefit greatly from some fill flash.
