Great Horned Owls - Babies growing FAST

I went and visited the nest today on my way home from work, and was I surprised!! Just about a week ago these were half the size and still had their eyes closed. There is another one in the nest, but he was being very shy today...but I did see his wing pop up a couple of times.

Mom was out hunting. I saw her sitting in a tree a few hundred yards away, so I am really hoping to get a few shots of these guys being fed by momma.

Wonderful! Love the 'eye contact' in the first shot. And you can see little tufts where the ears are going to be.
