One of my cameras had problems with back-focusing at wider focal length, 35mm and wider, so I sent it to Nikon. I didn’t register the product so I sent it with only a print out of an online receipt I have from Adorama. I got it back in 4 business days with a copy of the service order of the work that was done on my camera. I accidentally left my SD card in the camera and didn’t even declare it, and it came back with all the original pictures. They even upgraded the firmware and cleaned the sensor.

Yes Nikon FTW! I had a similar situation with my D7000. I left me eyepiece , battery, 1 32GB Extreme Pro and they sent it all back no question(s) asked. Only a $500 bill.

Oh dang, mine was all under warranty so I didn't have to pay other shipping/insurance out to them. The problem is fixed from what I've been testing.
