Great way to start my day!

Every morning when I feed the birds it doesn't take long for the hummingbirds to show up, they are there before I finish the other feeders so when I'm done I get to watch them for a moment until they leave and then I walk back past the feeder.

This morning I filled the feeder and as I flipped it back upright I heard her hum. I held the feeder out in front of me and she swooped in, looked at the hanger for the feeder for a moment then came to me, checked me out flying around my head then hovered in front of my face for a good eye to eye, I guess she decided I was cool, she took her time at the feeder with me holding it, then hovered back in front of my face for a moment and with a quick flick of her tail she was gone. Wow, what a simply beautiful start to my day!!

I love hummingbirds so beautiful. I have been unsuccessful in trying to get them to feed at my sugar water feeder. Do you have any tips?

Spanish, I was super lucky and didn't have any trouble attracting them. With all of my feeders I put out I make sure there is cover close by, a feeder in the open with no cover close by will get visited but not as much as one say beside a bush that the birds can bail into when a predator comes around. I put my hummingbird feeder in the flower garden, they already visit there so it was likely why they came right away. Try planting some wildflowers or flowers known for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds in a pot around the feeder if you don't have flower beds, that will help attract them to your yard

This was just the reminder I needed to order a hummingbird feeder as a little surprise for my wife when we move into our home next month. She sure loves seeing hummingbirds.

Aw Bunny, poor things! They hover in front of our cats all the time but lucky for them there is a window between them!
