Greedy Epson R3000 !!

Hi,

I have an Epson R3000 since 2 weeks and I have print around 50 13x18cm, 1 A3 and 1 A4.

And I'm scared when I see the Cartridge levels O_O !!

Is it normal ? Is the first pack of cartridge empties faster ?

Even the El Cheapo printer ink costs about $10,000 per gallon.

They don't make money selling printers. They make up for that selling ink.

It is usually much less expensive in the long run to have a professional print lab make your prints.

from what i gather the cartridges that come supplied with a new printer are never full up, sometimes only 25% filled, (someone may correct me)

It's apparently normal for cartridges on larger printers to run out sooner the first time. The salesman who sold me my Epson 3880 told me not to be surprised, that the crtridges were full but would run out sooner as they had to fill the tubes linking the cartridges to the heads. He assured me that my second set of cartridges would go much further.
