Hey there,

Here's another green screen, this time of Rapunzel. What do you think?

Thanks!

It's cute, but it doesn't come off as "Rapunzel" to me.

Also, is her skin really that white?

GS looks fabulous!

makes me want to break out our green screen. don't get to use it very often.
I assume the flowers were meant as her "hair"?
its a nice shot, and good GS work. I really like the background choice.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the flowers are in her hair... my thought is the designer didn't want to put in the time to make a fully voluminous braid, so she put flowers in it.. Oh well, and let me try to un-white the skin a little..

Alright, I added a little color to her face, but as you can see, it's not really overexposed, she's actually just pretty white.

I made some edits. I changed alot but I think the issues you have been having with this series is two fold.

1. The shadows on the BG don't match the shadows on the model. It's not crucial when using a green screen but it will get the image an "off" feeling.
2. I don't know but it doesn't look like you are editing the colors together. The model and the BG both appear to be of different temps, balance and saturation which again give it the look of being composited.

I think she looks a little too ashen in your edit Runnah. Like shes gone hypoxic.
BG looks better though.

Oh stop showing off your fancy new medical knowledge.

I did that to prove my case of treating the image a one piece instead of two.

well, as much as i would love to see her in a one piece, im not sure trading skin tones for a coherent BG was the best solution.
Is there any way to fix the BG and keep her skin tones more normal?

maybe just re-label this pic to "zombie Rapunzel" and call it a day.

lol! I'm in pain all day and this was my first laugh today :) Thanks!

I agree with runnah(second photo), the first photo that you posted has way too much color contrast between the subject and the background. Great photo for advertising a new fragrance for women.

I do like your second edit, Runnah. Could you tell me what you did so I can try it myself?

And what do you mean about the shadows? I feel like the lighting isn't exactly the same, but it is pretty close. What is giving you that "off" feeling?

Thanks!

Well the shadows on the rocks are pointing down and the light on the model are coming from the top right.

As far as my edits I did an curves adjustment on the whole image. Also some levels (blue) and a mid tone overall level.

The shadow she casts and the shadows the rocks in the wall cast - don't match.

So people looking at the image will be somewhat confused and uncomfortable but probably won't consciously know why.
