Hello one and all,
Former newspaper photo puke here stepping in to say hello.
I am Mark Lent and worked as a photojournalist in the Southeastern U.S.. Mostly in Florida and Alabama for companies like the New York Times, Freedom, Multimedia, Consolidated Publishing and a few others. I was also a photographer for Golf Week Magazine and wrote and photographed for Popular Photography & Imaging as well as the Adorama Learning Center. Former NPPA member as well as the old NPPA-L and was a member of the old "Behind the Viewfinder, A Year in the Life of Photojournalism" blog sight.
Currently, I teach photography and Digital Media Arts at the largest foreign language university in China called Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, or as we call it XJTLU. In my career, I shot mostly sports, but also news, features, lifestyle and some oddball stuff as well.
Anyway, great to be here and hope to contribute to the discourse.
Cordially,
Mark
