German Shorthair Pointers ~ My friends Mike and Steve are seen holding four field bred pups from Steve's selective breeding program. All four are highly social and are already displaying instinctive pointing behavior.

Right At Home ~ Working the cover.

Handsome Pups ~ I train near every day at Steve's Quail Ridge Kennels and his selective breeding program produces some truly beautiful GSP pups. I took time to photograph a few of these beauties today.

Desire ~ I love seeing young pups exhibiting desire early on. All four of the pups I saw today had that most special quality.

These pups will all be right at home working birds in the uplands.

Can't beat pup pictures, no matter what the breed. Been many years since I hunted with a friend's GSP's. Seeing those long legs in the first picture brought back some sore back and butt memories from chasing them on horseback all day.

Very cute. Around here they use them for sled dogs ....really!
