Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
This is my girlfriends bike and I wanted to practice so I took it out to snap a few. I wanted to let you know this was my girls bike, because of that sticker lol.

Took using a Canon 20D, 55mm.

Thanks for looking!

There is no composition at all, just random parts of the bike. Are you wanting critique of these from a photography point of view or just show us the gsx?

Yes from a photography point. Do you mean because I am not getting the whole bike in the photo? I am new to Photography, so please tell me what I am doing wrong. I did not post them in any order, I guess I needed to?

No, I think RyanL means there's just no "message" behind the photos. It looks like a random collection of parts.

One kind of photo that you can do is perhaps have your girlfriend walk towards the bike and you can capture that "moment." Bike in sharp focus with her in the background walking or something. Then we can talk about composition and how different photographic elements can help convey that message. In this case, that message might be... "It's just me, my bike, and the road."

I see what you mean.......I guess right now I am just wanting critique on the photos them self's, not so much if they are telling a story. Guess I should have only posted one.

Thanks again for all your help!

Also the parts are cut off. ie: the top of the helmet, the top corner of the R, and the rest of the front of number 7 picture. You also want to shoot from different angles and not just straight on
keep working at it
Here are a couple I shot the other day that I'm pretty fond off.
I shot this laying flat out on the ground

I love them....I see what you are saying and your photos are great. For the most part I did that on purpose as far as cutting things off, I guess it looked better in my head. I was told that I needed to lay on the ground by a friend of mine. He said you need to go lower, I was like how, I am on my knees! lol

I will keep working on it. I love shooting cars and bikes and that is what I want to get really good at.

How many batteries does it take my partners takes 4  usually out of my flash:lol:
Here's 1 of my bikes

That would be funny IF she had been sitting in the saddle wearing black leather chaps with the T-Bar of her thongs showing over her Levis's and the rabbit ears in view. Otherwise, nice practice shots. What did you learn from them?

What if she is 400+ lbs and they do not make chaps in her size?
