    Given its title I'm not certain this isn't the intent, but, to me, the shadow is so deep I find it pulling my eyes away from the statue. As such: I'm not sure what I think.

    Interesting - I like the inclusion of the shadows but I can't help thinking it might be more interesting if it was shot from a lower angle....just an idea.

    That is from a low angle, I am on my knees on the sidewalk...
