Unfortunately, I just found out that you can't actually post any picture you want. It needs to have metadata otherwise the site won't recognize it as a photo.

Um, no. The file extension and header tell the loader what it is, not the EXIF (metadata). This one has had the EXIF removed. In fact, the Sm4him Memorial Photo Challenge entries all have the metadata removed.

I really don't know. Whenever I try to upload files that have been worked with in Photoshop, it says that my picture isn't a picture. On the contrary, when I upload files that have been through Lightroom, everything is fine.

Lightroom is probably saving the exported file as a JPG or other recognized image format extension, and your Photoshop may be set to export in some other file type.

In case you are trying to post a Raw file, this site will not support Raw files.

Optimal settings are; JPG images that are no larger than 1024 pixels on the longest side.
