Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
So, in my effort to get back into shooting with a purpose, I got in touch with a member of one of the local sports teams, and set up a shoot. I gave myself the assignment of shooting for a magazine article about the player, on and off the field. Kind of a "young guy living the dream" angle.

I haven't finished the on-the-field stuff, but I wanted feedback on this diptych. Comments/critique appreciated.

I don't like it at all ..it's too similar or something is off.
Then again, I'm about as far from a pro as you can get so take me with a grain of salt.

I like the one on the left hand side best. Pose seems to be a lot more natural, which in the second seems forced. Also, with the theme you're going for, the hat is better off left out of this half.

I like the photo, but it doesn't say "editorial" to me. It seems like it could be any generic portrait for fashion or a model's portfolio.

The only critique about the actual photo I have is that there seems to be a hot spot on his forehead in the left photo

I like #1 for the most part besides the aforementioned forehead glare. And his eyes are bordering on too squinty.

#2 is not good. Pose is forced. Hat is out of place. Expression isn't super strong.

I'd build on #1 and scrap #2.

Annnnd to your subject's credit, totally thought he was Ben Afleck.

It's got a Ben Affleck I am too cool for school kind of feel. I am not saying I don't like it but it's not editorial.

A decent shot but by no means editorial.

I love it.

Love the first shot.

Exposure is spot on, the mood is good, the pose is good.

You did a fantastic job. Congrats.

Whatever you guys wanna call it... editorial... w/e.. It's a good image.

I don't think the OP meant a fashion editorial. More like a "behind the jersey" feature piece in GQ.

This is exactly where I was going with it. Good looking dude, living the dream.

Thanks very much for the feedback, everyone. I'll post the on-the-field shot later in the week. Still editing.

I am agree with you, these pics doesn't solid for your assignment. I am looking sadness at your face. So i 'll suggest you think different and shoot again.
