Hand of Happy C&C please

Hey all,

well, since I don't really know if I'm still a beginner or not, I'll post here ;D.
So, had a few rainy days out here, so to kill the time I made THIS



I'd say its pretty ok, but working with it for the past 3 hours or so I can't see my mistakes anymore and the hand is bothering me, I don't know what, but something is missing, shadows maybe? I'd be very grateful if anyone would suggest anything or even edit a bit on their own.

Ah I see it now, had to restart :/

It's lovely, wonderful design. Wonder how it'd look against black, but thats only my curiosity as the white works beautifully.

I would bring the color down to a point in the thumb it breaks up the flow in my opinion.

Interesting concept. What I noticed first was the blue is squared off at the bottom, but the other plumes have a nice taper to them. The finger tip below the green plume is yellow, and the thumb has very little blue to it. Again, very unique idea.

I think the hand is to flat.

The scale of the smoke relative to the hand doesn't compute for me.

It's an interesting concept. It's always good to explore.

That's much better. I think he meant to point the hand so the palm is facing the camera for a more aggressive look. I can see how that would add more drama. I like the photo now that the thumb isn't pulling my eye to the line.
