I like the second version much better.
This is a nitpick, but when I first looked at his torso, it looked like he had a big, bright gash, right around his abdominal area. I think it's just the way the light is shining on one of the skin folds as he twists around, but it makes look like a gash. To me, anyway. I wonder if burning that area a little would help.
