Been there, done that. Rather have locally blown glass. I'm not going to drop 2 g's on a bubbler because it looks fancy. I could give less of a **** about what color work was done as long as it was styled well and delivers an excellent hit. I watched a glass blower first hand and it changed my perspective on smoking glass.

Smoke a bowl and relax. I didn't really say what I said to start a debate on legislation either. Just poking fun at the thread a little all in good humor ( I thought the last sentence of my post would have showed that it was meant in a not-so-serious way ). From an unbiased observational stand point though, I have always found it funny how most pot smokers go out of their way to announce their pot smoking tendencies much more than really any other drug, legal or not. ( this thread is a perfect example. ) I don't post my shots of my bottle cap opener or the glass I drink my beer from every chance I get. Nor do I see people posting shots of their cigarettes or lighters very often. Yet pot heads just JUMP at any chance to mention that they smoke pot or show off their paraphernalia ( the whole 4-20 thing is a perfect example ) Although one can argue that shots of people smoking are quite trendy as well and has long been sort of romanticized in mass media. Since I figure most potheads like to wax philosophical when stoned, this would be a curious thing to ponder.

EDIT: Perhaps its simply because this drug is hip because its rebellious yet the most socially acceptable in terms of illegal drugs, which makes it ok to brag about? I mean noone is busting out the "Smoking my black tar heroin" or "Check out my meth scabs" threads anytime soon I reckon.

The coolest part is, when you wind up with lung cancer (or another form of cancer...), you can buy it legally for medical purposes. The Cherry on top is (speaking of taxes) is that all of us Non-stoners get to share the bill thanks to Obama. I bet he gets pissed when Biden bogarts his spliffs.

Except there still isn't any conclusive proof that links marijuana to cancer. People say that it "probably" causes cancer, as I am sure a lot of things "probably" cause cancer. Cigarettes DEFINITELY cause cancer, and users experience a greater risk of cancer.

This wasn't a thread I made to discuss the primitive drug legislation that is in place, it was to celebrate a wonderful plant (including industrial hemp).

It's nothing to brag about, glass is becoming an art form whether you want to recognize it or not. I enjoy looking at other peoples finely crafted glass pieces, or bongs. I find it interesting, personally. The reason that people ARE so vocal about marijuana is because it is time for marijuana reform. The DEA has lost the war on drugs. People find cigarettes and booze to be socially acceptable, and marijuana to not be placed in the same category. The more people are desensitized to the idea that it's NOT the worst thing that the youth of America could be doing (see: alcohol, cigarettes), the more the movement will spread.

If you really do take issue with this, I urge you to look elsewhere for discussion. I don't want to add you to my ignore list, as you do offer valuable insight on occasion... But that still wouldn't stop me.

I agree that glass ( even some bongs ) can be quite interesting, not big on the shots of handfuls of bud though. I am not bothered by it, as I said, I am not like ticked off or something. I just thought, hey, if people can flaunt drugs in my face, they should at least be able to take a good ribbing for sh*ts and gig*les. I am not trying to have some personal attack or big angry debate. I am rarely someone that really lays into people. I have family members that smoke boat loads of pot, and even I have in the past. I mean, when you make a 420 thread and show pics of illegal drugs, you can't really get angry that everyone in the thread doesn't share your love for the sticky icky. Doesn't mean we have to be enemies or hate each other.

Agreed. Have you ever done flameworking yourself? Its quite badass, and very difficult to get those clean, crisp lines that are assumed with the high end pieces.

Happy April 20th. This is also the date your taxes are due. I'm sure you paid them, right?

I hope you're happy paying the late filing fee, since they were due on Monday this year.

Actually I got a whopping 6 bucks off because I paid a day early. Also federal taxes are due on the 18th. State taxes on the 20th of every quarter.
I was just messing around anyway.
