Nice Ron; especially the first two. I've always found basketball one of the toughest sports to shoot.

Thanks John. It's a big change from shooting football. I am looking forward to trying some different ideas and lenses this season. Won't shoot as much basketball as I did football but I'll get a nice selection to add to my portfolio.

My HS has soccer as a winter sport. So I get to freeze outside in the cold wind. Yes, cold is relative, but for me with windchill pulling it down into the 40s, that is COLD.

I may shoot a few games of soccer but that is a spring sport for us. Gets too cold out to play here (well for me it does). I'll shoot basketball and a few wrestling matches during the next few months. Then for spring, I'll probably shoot a couple of soccer and a few baseball and softball games.

My biggest winter time stuff is competitive cheer, since my daughter competes.

I said that too soon.
School is currently on winter break, so they are not heating the gym. The gym was sooo cold the other day, that I had to wear my down vest under my fleece jacket, and I was still cold. The ref said that it was warmer outside than inside the gym.
I can't wait for school to start again, so they heat the gym.

And they still play soccer even though it is RAINING. I was told they only cancel for lighting and HEAVY RAIN STORM.
I shot soccer last week, no rain, just fog.
This week when it was RAINING, I was inside, dry and warm shooting basketball

I just found out about competitive cheer. I talked to the cheer coach at the last basketball game. I did not know that sport existed. They moved Cheer into the sport section of the yearbook.
But then I did not know about Lacrosse either, until last year. That was a steep learning curve for me to learn and shoot.
