Has anyone had experience with digital galleries?

Hey guys,

I want your opinion I came across this kickstarter for digital galleries with a virtual walk through capability would this be an asset I should invest in as a photographer? Could I create something like this on my own? Seems like pretty neat thing to include in photoshoot jobs or show off my portfolio.
