Has anyone had shutter failure with a Nikon D70?

Well after 7500 pictures some of nothing in particular (wasted) the shutter blew out on my Nikon D70. I know 7000 plus photos with a film camera would be a feat in a years time for me but that little jewel was addictive to just click away like a fool at everything, So has anyone experienced the same problem?

i am not a nikon person.
but 7000 is not acceptable at all!

my film cameras's shutters usually survived an order of magnitude longer.

my dSLR is above 7000 now. and i hope it will last another 93000

Yeah, that's not right at all. You should get it fixed nonetheless.

I've done over 20000 with my D200, it clocked over last night. Still works as it should. Take the D70 back.
