Eh its just like a nick-name; kids (and adults) have had them for decades; its just in the online world you have to get really creative because, all the common ones are already taken

This is the first thing I thought of. I still have the same group of 20 or so friends that have hung out together for 40+ years everyone has a nickname. Gets funny today when your try to remember their given name when your introducing them to someone new.

To answer the question......No. They are the instant gratification generation, they identify with that, and live up to it's name by wanting everything NOW. Earning it not required.
