Have you ever banged your tripod?

Ever since I have a Lowepro SlingShot bag, it hold my tripod on the right side. Every time I goes through the door, my tripod keeps banging on the door frame, especially when I go in and out the restroom. It made marks, but no dents or bents. I cleaned out the marks, and my tripod is like new. I'm surprised, there are no damages at all.

I prefer banging bipods. And an occasional monopod.

My television camera tripod fell and broke my foot. No, the camera was not on it.

My cheap little table-top tripod buckled over and sent my K1000 tumbling off a stone wall onto concrete. It was just a flesh wound, though. On the K1000, that is. The tripod was trashed.

Sure, with egrets, hawks, heron, osprey just outside the backdoor on a semi-regular basis, I've got in the habit of keeping the tripod fully extended by the door, even pulling the legs close to the column, still manage to bang it on something going in or out.
