Yes the bird is the word!
Lighting is harsh on #1, #4 is out of focus quite badly.
#2 shows a good amount of detail.

Yes, fokker is right, 2 shows a good amount of detail, but I find the detail I get to see unattractive and even a bit revolting. But that is just me and doesn't say anything about the photo as such, only about its content.
