Here a few spider shots from my trip to Kauai.

My first attempts at spiders and must say I'm quite happy with them. I don't have a macro lens so this is the closest I could get.

3. Asian Spiny Backed Spider - My favorite of the three.

I like the first. Very nice for a non macro lens. I have a Tamron 17-50 that focuses close and takes nice close ups. Over the many years I used to hunt I have run into these spiny back spiders and their webs what seems to be hundreds of times and many times right in the face. When hunting I don't know which was the most aggravating - these or the mosquitoes.

Thanks Jerry!
At elast the mosquitos don't give you that gross feeling like a spider web does.

Mishele, yeah there were quite a few. They are really neat. We don't get spiders like that this far north.
