Haze

I loved the lines leading up the frame to the trees and into vast nothingness.

Chose the portrait orientation as I felt it worked better for this composition.

I see the shot, but don't 'feel' the picture.

Was any editing done? Not sure exactly what I would do, but I feel bringing down the black, bumping contrast or saturation a little would bring it to life. Might sharpen the tree line to give a little more detail up there.

I know what you mean, as I kind of feel the same way and was hoping to try and figure out what it is exactly.

I did sharpen, enhanced the vibrance and saturation a bit. As for the trees, I may try that although I like the how they transition into the haze.

Its a really cool picture, I think I would have liked to see a little more of the forest before fully fading. Cant tell if the conditions would have allowed for that though, and you probably would have lost the curves in the bottom.
