Shot this over the weekend. I did my best to not make the HDR look crazy psychedelic. Let me know what you guys think. To the HDR gurus, what could I have done better in your opinion.

:meh: it's a ricer...:-P seems a little fuzzy to me

It's also better in the snow than any car you drive. Unless you literally own a tank and drive it in inclement weather.

Not that someone in CA has any need for snow traction though. So I'm sure it's used for ricing.

However, Subaru is the only Asian car maker that I'd buy.

You could have made it better by making enough exposures to properly record the dynamic range of the scene. The front of the car is too dark, and the image has a hazy quality to it, also because an insufficient number of exposures was made.

The location you picked had issues. The part of the location camera right that is lit by direct sunlight caused very distracting reflections on the drivers side of the car above the crease line. The bright part of the pavement at the back of the car and camera right causes a sizable distracting reflection below the crease line.

A couple of strobes (flash) inside the car could have highlighted the interior.

Negative...I do own a tank...and it is a 4x4 and yes...I live on East Coast...so I do drive it in inclement wheather..:-P

I personally like Lead Sleds...

I think it is a problem of me not using Photomatix correctly. I used 13 exposures to make this photo.

Since the car was new I didnt want to shoot it in direct sunlight, as I was afraid the reflection off the paint, it was like a mirror, would be to harsh or cause parts of the car to be blown out. Knowing that the car was going to be shot in indirect light I oppted for background that would offset it. However I do see what you mean by the reflections on the right side of the car being distracting.

I never thought of using remote flashes for the interior. Im still new and limited on equipment. Im still saving to buy a speedlight, hahaha Im still using the stock flash thats built into my camera.
