Took this the other day in New Jersey

Feel free to discuss positives/negatives.

Thanks!

Great composition, however it looks very dark to me. I'd like to see the exposure pushed up just a little bit.

How many exposures....just wondering why the sky still looks blown out

Thanks for the replies, it was a total of 3. no filters used. probably a little over exposed to begin with.

Waaay too blue, methinks. You may have some recoverable detail in the sky. I'd try to tone map it again and maybe adjust the color.

I agree with Murray. Way too blue. Also could get rid of the dust spots.

Dust spots suck. Camera needs cleaned. About 9500 clicks so far and had dust since lik 100. Silly d600. Tired of cleaning every photo. Nikon better offer me to trade my d600 for the d610 lol

I'd up the exposure and reduce saturation a lot. But the HDR-ness and long exposure and composition and stuff are all pretty neat.

Thanks for the info
Will play with it. And will repost up a fixed one

I've been many many times.... go there to decompress. Nice walking area very historic. Flood control unit dating to the early 1900s. Lots of photos have been taken there.. mostly film a few digital that I have never posted.

Across the street from historic Speedwell. 1 wall left of a large stone structure, community fireplace, and a meeting place for old town functions. About 5 years ago, there was also a stone bridge that still existed and many rallied to gather funds to save it. Unfortunately, the stone bridge fell.

GO Down IN it.. for a unique perspective but watch out your footing! Use a strong tripod. If you slip, try not to take the camera down with you. Also... nice in the winter time. The one photo I have of it online was playin around with IR.

As for the photo.... I agree. Seems too blue for me and over saturated. I do like the reflections.
